President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Kash P. Patel to be the new Director of the FBI. In my view, Patel is an exceptionally qualified individual. He served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense, Deputy Assistant to the President on the National Security Council (NSC), and Deputy Director of National Intelligence during the Trump administration. At the NSC, Patel played a key role in implementing President Trump’s policies, including the elimination of Al-Qaeda and ISIS leadership and the safe release of dozens of American hostages. Additionally, he served as a National Security Prosecutor under the Obama administration, prosecuting terrorists from ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and other groups.
Kash Patel has stated, “On day one, I would shut down the Hoover Building and turn it into a museum of the deep state. The 7,000 people working there? I’d send them across the U.S. to serve as cops.” He further emphasized, “Why do we need 7,000 FBI personnel in D.C.? The same goes for the CIA and DOJ.”
Patel is America First and strongly believes in upholding the rights enshrined in the Constitution. Unlike many current government leaders who seem to view the Constitution as outdated, Patel understands its significance and stresses that those in power are meant to serve the American people, not the other way around. In my opinion, Patel and the incoming Trump administration are committed not only to reducing government waste and overspending, but also to shrinking the government to more closely reflect the vision of the Founding Fathers.
In addition, Patel is the founder and president of the Kash Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises funds for legal defense, educational programs, and financial support for active-duty personnel and veterans. He was a senior advisor to President Trump during his first term and has consistently voiced support for reducing the size of the federal government, advocating for relocating agencies outside of Washington, D.C.
